It's my understanding Smooth Patch, Simler90s and Nraas Mods edit the same Sims 3 files causing the conflict. There are no compatibility fixes at this time, that I know of. If you have Nraas Mods, it's recommended to use Smooth Patch 1.x linked below.
Works fine for me. Just place it in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages, make sure the framework is installed (i.e. Resource.cfg file). If it's not, a quick Googling will help you out (MTS has a tool that automatically installs it for you). Try deleting all the cache files in the The Sims 3 folder if it still doesn't work.
