AC origins - help/tips needed! Ray999 4 years ago #1. So after playing AC oddysey, i really enjoyed the new RPG style and saw on the internet, that AC origins was the first step the RPGness we know today. So i thought, AC oddysey was epic, let's try origins! But i am kinda confused and was hoping a pro could help me, with some advice.

You can use a spear which allows you to hit people around you simultaneously instead of a sword. And then you can also use smoke bombs to evade your enemies when you're surrounded. You can just throw one right after you dodge. The combat in Origins isn't extremely accessible like previous AC games. You have to get used to it, it takes some time.
Basically you can just take on 20 people at once like you could in the previous games, easily dodge, block, parry every attack thrown at you with ease. In this AC the combats more technical and you have to take your time with it. Hope this helps!
Unless you unequip your weapons and fight with your fists. All the way at the bottom of weapon select is "Unarmed". There are quests in the game that make use of this. Oh, I thought you were referring to enemies only. You can parry unarmed. #5. Fnaargh Dec 23, 2017 @ 10:06am.
