It's on the door vin plate. Second box up on the left side. Hi, Just did some checking as the post above says it in the VIN stickers is in the drivers door jam the paint code is in a row of seven boxes on the left hand side - it is the sixth one down - my car is sea grey which is X6 which is in that box. Hope this helps. The U1900 DTC code is usually caused by diagnostics. This DTC code can be ignored. Even cars without any problems do often have this code. The P0599-71 DTC code refers to an electronic thermostat. As far as I know Ford did not use electronic thermostats for the Focus MK2/MK2.5.
Hi. just purchased a 2005 '55' Mondeo mk3 titanium estate and it requires a new bumper at the front but I am having trouble finding out which is the paint code on the plate on the inside of the driver's door. can anyone tell me what the paint code is and what color it is?

Loose or bad gas cap. It is possible for the check engine light to come on in Mondeo due to a loose or bad gas cap. I went and plugged a code reader in and got the p010f - air flow issue along with another code relating to fuel - exactly my suspicion! I had recently done a full service including a fuel filter so felt as if it was the MAF sensor. Cleared the codes bought a MAF sensor and all seemed fine.

The only way was at the Ford main dealer as the most up to date connections and software was required. (My Mondeo is an 09 titanium X). Ford wouldn't programme my second hand but identical (including part codes) BCM, insisted it must be a new unit. Price was going to be £950 for the BCM and £650 for the labour.
