I should of stopped at Fallout 3, but I kept hoping Bethesda would of learned their lesson with each new game and fix the issues from the previous game. Guess I was wrong. Lesson learned: Never buy Bethesda games on PS3 again. On the plus side I got Fallout 3 and New Vegas dirt cheap during the Steam sale and Skyrim at 50% off.

Both New Vegas and 3 are "Playable" on the PS3, but the performance overall it's really bad: low textures quality, lazy loading textures, and awful frame rate.
The PS3 ports play mostly fine from what I remember; but the biggest flaw is that the FNV port has a memory leak. So that the bigger your save file gets from playing the game, the more likely the game will crash. The PS3 ports of Fallout 3 and New Vegas are atrocious, especially New Vegas.
